Spar Bradninch Store Number 58
Spar Bradninch takeover
The store was successfully taken over on Monday the 13th of February and becomes the 58th store in the Gillett’s Store portfolio.
The store, located in Fore st, Bradninch, a few miles from Collumpton and the main M5 motorway is typical of many stores within the Gillett group, many of which are located in very similar small towns and villages across the South West of England.
The store offers all the usual items found in a modern day convenience store making it a great place to shop for all those things you need, when you need them most. The store also benefits from an Open Reach Post Office that is open much longer hours (8am till 8pm), than many traditional Post offices, enabling customers to use the postal service when it suits them,
The family would like to thank the Bayliss’s for making the takeover go so smoothly, and also allowing them to get to grips with the store before the official take over date, it certainly made for one of the best transfer’s in recent times.
“We are delighted to welcome the team at Spar Bradninch into the Gillett’s family of stores” said Mark Gillett on takeover day.
Mark Gillett went on to say " We are really pleased to have taken over the store in Bradninch, it ticks all the boxes for us and we really look forward to trading in the town for many years to come." he also added "We don’t intend to make many changes at the store, maybe a few new lines here and there to give us a bigger range in line with our other stores, but it has been run extremely well for years by the Bayliss family so requires very little at all”.
Alex Nowell the new Manager at the store also commented, “I really can’t wait to meet all the customers both old and new over the coming weeks and month and am relishing the chance to work with a great team of people within the store".
